Job Speed Dating 2.0

Job Speed Dating – Swipe right for your career

Bringing together what belongs together - that is the goal of Job Speed Dating. Companies from the region meet students from OTH Amberg-Weiden. In short interviews, company representatives and students have the opportunity to get to know each other and explore opportunities for cooperation (internships, working student jobs, final theses, etc.).

When: September 22, 2021, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Where: OTH Campus Weiden, lecture hall building, multifunction room (If required, we will switch to an online format at short notice - date and time remain unaffected).

The language of the event is German. German language skills on at least B2 level are therefore a prerequisite.

Program:

  •     Welcome
  •     Short presentation of the companies in a two-minute elevator pitch
  •     Job Speed Dating between registered students and companies
  •     afterwards or for waiting group: get-together in a relaxed atmosphere (with coffee and snacks)
  •     Opportunity to exchange ideas with company representatives

Job Speed Dating procedure:

There are 2 groups depending on the field of study (students) or employee needs and orientation (companies): Group A focuses on the content of the Amberg campus (electrical engineering, media, computer science, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering), Group B focuses on the study programs of the Weiden campus (business administration, industrial engineering, health).
Each group consists of 5 companies; there are 2 rounds of interviews.
So each company has a total of 10 interviews, 5 per round.
Students conduct 5 interviews each, one with each company from their group (A or B).
The interviews will last 7 minutes.

Application:

All students who have already completed at least 2 semesters at OTH Amberg-Weiden (i.e. will be in their 3rd semester in the winter semester 2021/2022) and have German language skills of at least B2 level can apply.

Among all applications, 20 students - 10 for group A and 10 for group B - will be selected. The students will receive an application check by the Study and Career Service in advance.

Selection will be based on resumes and answers to the two questions.

Application deadline is July 18!

Organizer: OTH AW Competence Center Bavaria - Central and Eastern Europe (KOMO).
