Pohár - Prize for Central and Eastern European related Projects
The OTH AW Competence Center Bavaria - Central and Eastern Europe has been offering a prize of 500 – 1,000 euros since 2019. The "Pohár" (Czech, Slovak and Hungarian for trophy) is intended to annually honor creative projects and concepts developed by OTH students on the topic of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
Aim of the award
The prize is awarded to projects and concepts that contribute to making Central and Eastern Europe better known and more attractive at the university. Students, faculty and staff are to be made interested in this still largely unknown region, its diversity, languages and potential. They should be motivated to travel, exchange and do internships or cross-border research projects.
We particularly welcome applications that either involve the partner universities of OTH Amberg-Weiden in CEE or/and submit a project idea on the topic "After Corona – new ways of cooperation with CEE partners" (universities, companies or NGOs).
Alternatively, we are also happy to receive other ideas for projects that promote Central and Eastern Europe at the OTH AW or in turn promote our university abroad (social media, creative projects, movie or music nights or an excursion – think fun). Feel free to discuss your ideas with us, before you hand it in.
