Solidarity with the Ukraine

For #Europe For #Peace #StandWithUkraine
We are dismayed by the developments in #Ukraine and express our #Solidarity with Ukraine and at the same time with our Russian partners who speak out against the Russian attack on Ukraine!
We share Bayhost’s conviction that the Russian attack on Ukraine damages the successful and friendly cooperation with partner institutions in both Ukraine and Russia that has grown over many years. Our thoughts are with our Ukrainian academic partners, Ukrainian students and their families.
OTH Amberg-Weiden has maintained intensive cooperation with three Ukrainian universities for many years - the National Yuri Fedkovych University in Czernowitz, the National Technical University "Kiev Polytechnic Institute Ihor Sikorskyj" in Kiev and the KROK University in Kiev. Since November 2020, it has been part of the Erasmus KA2 project Interadis (International Students Adaptation and Integration) – alongside eight Ukrainian universities as well as one Italian, one Lithuanian and one Dutch university.
At the beginning of February, a hybrid project week for international students took place, in which Professor Andrii Verstiak and the DAAD scholarship holders Anna Cheredaryk and Anastasiia Olinyk from the Ukrainian University of Chernivtsi also participated. The study visit as part of the Interadis project, which was supposed to offer around 35 Ukrainian university members a diverse programme in Amberg and Weiden, had to be cancelled due to current events.
The exchange and projects with Ukrainian partner universities of the OTH Amberg-Weiden are managed by KOMO (with the support of the International Office)

Help for Ukrainian students
Dear students from Ukraine,
We would like to support you in this difficult time and help you, whether "only" for a transitional period or for a longer period of time, to continue or complete your studies in Ukraine, provided that this is within our possibilities or corresponds to our study programme.
If we can help you further and you would like to apply for this, we would like to ask you to fill out the following application form and send it to us.
Please attach the following documents to this online application:
- All official documents you have on hand regarding your school or university education, university matriculation certificates, grade certificates, etc.
- Copy of your identity card
- Photograph
- Short curriculum vitae
We will then check whether you can be enrolled as an exchange student for this summer semester, which is already underway.
In the following winter semester, you could enrol as a regular student in one of our degree programmes.
Please click here for an up-to-date overview up-to-date overview of the degree programmes we currently offer in English. More are in the planning stage.
Of course, the other degree programmes (teaching language German, language level B2) are also available to you.
As a state university, we do not charge tuition fees - you only have to pay a student union fee of currently 52.00 euros per semester.
Apart from that, you will have to pay an average of 600 - 800 euros for living expenses, including rent.
If you have any questions, please contact the International Office.
