Submissions
You are invited to submit your abstracts (up to 300 words) for the International Meeting of the STACK Community 2024 in the period from 20.11.2023 to 31.12.2023 via ConfTool. You will find the link in time here. Proposals are welcome in English on topics related to STACK. It is possible to hand in contributions for presentations, lightning talks, workshops and posters. When submitting*, please indicate your desired presentation format. Afterwards a review process will take place.
Possible suggestions for topics:
- STACK in teaching or exams
- Feedback
- New users and authoring of questions
- Testing and maintaining
- Contributing to the documentation, and the code base
- Implementation and usage of GeoGebra, JSXGraph, or other Programms
- Automation of question and feedback generation
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31th of December, 2023**. After a review by the program committee, you will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection by January 21, 2024. After your acceptance, you are recommended to hand in your contribution via ConfTool. Accepted contributors will also have the opportunity of publishing a paper based on their contribution to the Open Access platform Zenodo. The paper is optional.

Presentations
For the sessions with this format, the presentations will be clustered thematically. The presentations should shed light on their topic in depth. Depending on the type of presentation, you will have 30 or 15 minutes including discussion. Note that attention will be paid to the observance of the times.
The recommended file types to be used for presentations are PowerPoint (*.ppt / *.pptx) or Portable Document Format (PDF).
Talk
Each Talk is 30 minutes long. It is recommended to use 20-25 minutes to present and 5-10 minutes for discussion.
Lightning talk
Each lightning talk is 15 minutes long. It is recommended to use 10-12 minutes to present and 3-5 minutes for discussion.
Poster presentation
On an A0 poster you can present your topic or concept freely in terms of design, gladly also with accompanying materials, models, etc.. The posters will as well be thematically bundled and presented in a open accessible room. In the course of this, there will be room for detailed discussions at individual posters. The presentation session itself will take place in VR***.Each presentation is is 15 minutes long. It is recommended to use 8-10 minutes to present and 5-7 minutes for discussion.
Note: we recommend providing handouts or QR codes to download the poster.
The recommended file types to be used for posters are *.ai, *.svg, *.jpg or *.png. The recommended size is A0.
*** We recommend the usage of a VR-headset, but the participation via pc-screen is possible as well.
Workshop
In workshops, you present your topic with the active involvement of the participants. Workshops will last 90 minutes each, and the format is free. The participants can be involved in a variety of ways.
Please indicate what equipment you need for your workshop and how you would like to involve the participants.
Recommended file types depend on the used format of the workshop.
Proceedings
This year again there will be the opportunity of publishing a paper based on their contribution to the OpenAccess platform Zenodo. Please follow this template for the submission of your paper.
Schedule and procedure:
The authors of all accepted contributions have until 05.04.2024 to submit conference proceedings. After the submission deadline, a review process will follow. It is expected that you will receive feedback on your contribution by 29.04.2024. Subsequently, the authors of all accepted contributions have until 17.05.2024 to incorporate the feedback received into their contribution to the conference proceedings and to submit a final version of their contribution.
It is expected that the proceedings will be published by 10.06.2024
Registration
Registration for the International Meeting of the STACK Community 2024 will be open from 01.12.2024 to 09.02.2024. From 01.12.2024 to 31.12.2023 you wil be granted a „eary-bird” registration discount.
To register, please first register as a user on our ConfTool page. You can then log in and register for the International Meeting of the STACK Community 2024 under "Register as a participant". Please note: Registration on the ConfTool page alone does not constitute registration for the event.
