Invitation to study entrance survey 2022
.
###USER_anrede_lieber_EN### ###USER_last_name###,
your feedback is important to us and helps us to systematically improve the access to OTH Amberg-Weiden as well as the counseling and support services offered at the beginning of your studies. Now, in your second semester, you have already gained first experience in your role as a student and you can accordingly evaluate the exam situation, the interaction with lecturers and other students. In addition, your impressions of the beginning of your studies are certainly still present. So, tell us!
The participation in this survey takes about 15 minutes and is, of course, voluntary. However, the more students participate in this survey, the more meaningful and precise the results will be.
We assure you that your data will be treated and evaluated anonymously and in strict confidence according to the applicable data protection regulations. The results will be published in such a way that it is not possible to draw conclusions about individuals. Further information can be found below.

Who is being surveyed?
The study entrance survey addresses students who started their Bachelor’s Degree Programme in winter semester 2021/2022 and are now in the 2nd semester of their study.
What is being asked?
Our main goal is to obtain a comprehensive overview of your study start as well as to get an impression on how you have perceived the first study phase from your point of view. Since the study entrance phase plays a crucial role when it comes to the future course of studies. Therefore, we would like to know which factors play an important role for you and how your study entrance procedure took place. The gained knowledge in this survey allows us to identify the positive aspects of the study entrance that will help to further develop the entrance process as well as identify possible improvement potentials.
How is the survey conducted?
This study entrance survey will be conducted online only by means of an online questionnaire. The software used is called „Unizensus“.
What about data security and anonymity?
Your data is stored absolutely safely with us and we guarantee an anonymous evaluation in accordance with the current federal laws governing data protection and data security. No individualised access codes will be issued for participation. The access code (oth-se) to be entered for technical reasons is a universal token that is the same for each participant. It is not possible to link your email address with the answers given in your questionnaire. Email addresses of students which are necessary for carrying out this survey will neither be stored nor passed on to others, and only used for the purpose of conducting this survey.
As a general rule regarding online surveys, neither data (like IP-addresses or email adresses) will be saved, nor will data (e.g. cookies) be stored on the interviewee‘s computer whilst answering the survey. The results are always anonymous. It is not possible to track who has completed the questionnaire, nor when. In case that anonymity cannot be guaranteed, for example if too few participants (e.g. because of small group sizes) take part, the study results will be deleted by us.
All transmissions done by the browser with respect to the study take place via an encrypted connection. The data and results are only accessible for the employees of OTH Amberg-Weiden who are entrusted with the project. The survey will be deleted after completion of the survey.
The participation is, of course, voluntary.
Further information on data protection can be found on the website of OTH Amberg-Weiden.
