International Business Studies

Study location: Weiden

Teaching language: English!

You seek to work in an international environment? Multilingual teams and stays abroad are exactly what you want? You like to know how to safely move about on international markets and how to collaborate with different cultures without committing a blunder? You would like to consolidate your command of the English language and use it in everyday business life? Has the idea of deploying a Central and Eastern European language proficiently always been appealing to you?

Then, our International Business Bachelor’s Degree Program is the right place for you!

Markets are rapidly changing. In order to score in competition, not only major companies but also start-ups and medium-sized businesses engage internationally. One focal point lies on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in particular. If you wish to help shape these markets, our International Business Bachelor’s Degree Program (CEE) provides you with all knowledge and competences required to do so. Not only do you undergo comprehensive, English-taught business administration studies, you also acquire specific intercultural and linguistic expertise – the ideal prerequisite to build a career in companies often occupying market-leading positions and being active across borders. Depending on which specialization you choose, you will, for example, coordinate international projects. You might equally shine in a leadership position in controlling, marketing or sales. The doors to human resource management will also be opened: you learn how to manage and develop personnel beyond borders.

Career Outlook

Especially here, in the border region around the OTH Amberg-Weiden, numerous major companies – and also small and medium-sized market leaders – are already operating worldwide, targeting Central and Eastern European countries. In many other regions, most companies in the sectors of industry, IT, commerce and service have also positioned well in terms of exports, imports and cross-border cooperations. Many companies intend to expand this position even further. With your comprehensive set of international economic skills, the command of intercultural business practices and your language expertise, you will become part of this success story.

With the International Business Bachelor’s Degree Program (CEE) you prepare for a career in international companies. Your extensive academic likewise practice-oriented training enables you to tap into all fields of business administration. A facultative semester abroad and an obligatory internship abroad add to practical relevance. Additional qualifications like intercultural competences and language skills do not only gain you access to an exciting spectrum of tasks in controlling, marketing, sales and personnel, but also to a great range of further international business fields. Regardless of which path you take, this degree program lays the foundations for you to skillfully master trans-border challenges.

Study Models

Apart from the full-time degree program, you are also offered the possibility of combining your studies at our university while receiving vocational training and education within the framework of a so-called dual cooperative study program. Or you combine the comprehensive theoretical knowledge earned at the university with intensive practical periods at companies (study with in-depth practice).
