Biography
Thomas Lang is Executive Chairman of the Bavarian regional branch of Bioland e.V., Germany’s largest organic farming association committed to organic farming, biodiversity, and sustainable food systems. In his role, he represents the interests of organic farmers in Bavaria and works at the interface of agriculture, policy, education, and civil society.
He brings long-standing experience in rural development, adult education, and organizational leadership. Prior to his current position, Thomas Lang was involved in managing ecological model regions and leading educational institutions focused on sustainability and organic agriculture. His work has consistently aimed at empowering young professionals, strengthening regional value chains, and promoting knowledge transfer within the organic sector.
Through his leadership at Bioland Bayern, he contributes to shaping the future of organic agriculture by fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable land-use practices across the region.
