Teaching & Research Operating Room

In the fully equipped teaching and research operating room, new and existing surgical technology, medical equipment, and building systems are tested, refined, demonstrated, and used for training as part of an efficient and safe system. A complete system can be explained and practiced in various operational states. Research and development of new products, as well as the simulation and optimization of workflows, are possible.

The teaching and research operating room serves as a platform and provides access to new technologies. It creates opportunities for professional (further) training for medical and technical staff. Strategic partnerships with industry can be expanded. The implementation and commercialization of innovative ideas in spin-offs is supported by existing offerings within the university’s network.
