Information Welcome Session for international full-time students (online)
For all first semesters of our international Bachelor and Master programmes, there will be online information session on
Wednesday, February 28th,
11.00 to 13.30 p.m.
for programmes offered in Amberg ( International Energy Engineering, Artificial Intelligence for Industrial Applications, Global Research in Sustainable Engineering )
14.00 to 16.30 p.m.
for programmes offered in Weiden ( International Business, Digital Management and Technology, International Management and Sustainability)
This infosession will be dealing with topics such as visa and residence permit, health insurance, housing, student life and many more.

First Semester Welcome
Dear first semester students,
welcome to the OTH Amberg-Weiden!
The first semester welcome will take place on 18.03.2024.
Here you will receive important information about your studies!
The following is planned:

| 9.00 a.m. | Central welcome for first semester students |
[Please note: Students of international study programmes in Weiden (Digital Technology and Management, International Business and International Management and Sustainability) will get a central welcome in English starting 9.30 am in H001]
There will be further programme items at both locations afterwards. Therefore, please plan enough time for getting to know the campus.

International Students Club (ISC) and its Buddy Program
The ISC is a student-organised body of the International Office and active both at the campus in Amberg and in Weiden.
The main goal is simple: the ISC wants to promote contact between OTH’s international and German students. Students from all over the world should feel welcome and at home at OTH AW. To achieve this, the team does not only organise regular events on site, but also organises various excursions near and far.
The ISC would like to be a place to make friends and experience new things together, a place of mutual respect and togetherness. Plus, they also want to encourage German students to venture abroad and serve as an informal contact point for international students.
International Buddy Program
The International Buddy Program enables international students of OTH AW to get to know German students and to have contact persons for questions and problems that arise. Further, German students who are interested in international and intercultural exchange have the opportunity to meet students from all over the world.
Buddies are committed students who are interested in international exchange and who help international students during the semester. Activities of the buddies are for example the support by dealing with authorities and help with questions/problems that arise during the daily study life.
