Subject-specific study counselling

In each of our degree programmes, a professor is responsible for providing subject-specific advice. You're welcome to contact that person at any time for your specific questions.
The internship advisor will also be happy to answer any questions you may have about your internship or practical semester.
You can find your advisor on the homepage of your (future) study programme.
Student Development Center

The Student Development Center (SDC) bundles several services to support students in a wide variety of circumstances, particularly during the introductory phase of their studies.
With personal counselling, individual support and early assistance, they open up opportunities for successful studies. In challenging times, too, they provide guidance, motivational impetus and advice on issues relating to student finance. In this way, they work with you to create prospects that promote equal opportunities and personal development in the long term.
The SDC is responsible for three areas:
Talent sponsorship: students receive support with information on various scholarships and with applications to suitable sponsorship organisations. In addition, a network of scholarship holders and sponsors is to be established and expanded.
Early warning system: Students who have difficulties with the requirements of a degree programme in their first semesters are proactively contacted as part of the innovative “students@risk” early warning system and invited to a comprehensive consultation regarding possible support services.
Orientation programme: With the prepareING orientation programme, we offer prospective students who are still unsure about their choice of degree course the opportunity to take modules from various programmes over the course of one or two semesters. During this time, they can consolidate their decision in favour of a particular degree course or reject one alternative.
