Access to the 24h-library is possible for unlocked university members at any time!

From Wednesday, 11.06.25 the normal semester opening hours apply again:

    Friday: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • Amberg: 24-hour library closed from 12 noon on Friday over the Whitsun weekend

    Library

    Concerns/Category:

Due to another power outage lasting several hours on Friday, 6 June 2020, the 24-hour opening hours will be suspended. All systems will be shut down as early as 12 noon.
The locking system will not function reliably in the event of a sudden power failure and when the power is switched back on. Reworking may still be necessary at the weekend.

We therefore ask you to leave the library by 12 noon on Friday. The 24-hour opening hours will resume as normal from Tuesday, 10 June from 9 am.

The 24-hour opening will therefore not be available over the Whitsun weekend.

  • Amberg Library: Shorter opening hours until the end of June

    Library

    Concerns/Category:

Due to staff absence due to illness, the library in Amberg is reducing its regular opening hours until the end of June.

Monday to Thursday: 9 am - 4 pm
    Friday: 9 am - 2 pm

In justified exceptional cases, external users can arrange to collect or return books at a later time after prior notification by email.

The 24-hour opening hours are of course available to university members with authorisation as usual.

  • Scopus now with Scopus AI

    Library

    Concerns/Category:

The Scopus citation database now includes the Scopus AI citation module, which uses generative artificial intelligence methods.
You can find Scopus AI via the corresponding tab.

Scopus AI only accesses metadata and abstracts contained in Scopus and facilitates the search for scientific literature. You can enter search terms or ask questions in natural language.

    What does Scopus AI offer?

    • rhort and more detailed summariesv
    • Visual representation of key terms as a concept map
    • rseferences to experts
    • suggestions for in-depth questions
    • further literature references for the search terms

Attention: Scopus is only an artificial intelligence, therefore results should not be taken over unchecked. Scopus is not a substitute for sound legal, financial or medical advice. As with any AI, there is a risk of misinterpretation.

Scopus is available to all members of the university and can also be used externally with the VPN client.
