Get to Know the Anatomy Lab

Opened in the summer semester of 2025, the Anatomy Lab at OTH Amberg-Weiden offers students an innovative supplement to traditional anatomy lectures. Through realistic 3D models and cutting-edge mixed reality applications, anatomical structures can be explored interactively and understood in greater depth. The combination of digital technology and hands-on learning provides an ideal foundation for a lasting, visual, and spatial understanding of the human body.

Learning with Models

Theoretical content from lectures can be further explored using anatomical models, making topographic anatomy tangible. Functional models offer a vivid and detailed demonstration of anatomical relationships and the mechanics of major joints.

Immersive Learning in Mixed Reality

In addition to traditional lectures, immersive anatomical simulations offer a targeted deepening of theoretical knowledge.Using Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headsets in combination with the 3D Organon software, students can interactively explore the human body in 3D and gain a clear understanding of complex anatomical relationships. Highly detailed 3D models of all body systems support a structured learning experience, further enriched by microscopic views of tissues and cells.
