Technical centre for combined heat and power generation

In order to be able to expand cutting-edge research in environmentally sound energy technology at Tech. Univ. of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden, the new research building "Technikum für Kraft-Wärme-Kopplung" (Technical Centre for Combined Heat and Power) was built on the campus in Amberg. The Center of Excellence for Cogeneration Technologies (CeCoGen) - an interdisciplinary research network of professors and partners from industry and science - conducts research here on the following fields of action:

Increasing energy efficiency
Use of biogenic energy sources for combined heat and power processes
demand-oriented and flexible integration of combined heat and power plants into energy systems
Research and development of new innovative combined heat and power concepts
