Our tips for your studies

General tips

  • Prepare your workspace: Clear away distracting things and lay out your learning material to avoid interruptions.
  • No phone zone: Put your phone out of sight, for example in a drawer or in another room. Those who cannot resist the temptation cantry to use apps  that help minimise distractions on mobile phones or computers.
  • Time management: Its important to start early and allow for buffers. There are various time management methods that you should try out to see if they suit your learning style. Timers help you keep track of your study time.
  • Create a study plan:  On the one hand, this will give you an overview of all the topics and ensure that you don't overlook anything. On the other hand, it helps to divide the large amount of content into small units. The study plan goes hand in hand with time management: smaller sub-goals make it easier to create a realistic schedule.
  • Body-Doubling: Studying together helps. You don't even have to meet up with your study group in person; you can also search for ‘study with me’ videos. These are often designed according to the Pomodoro Technique. What's more, there's no opportunity to get sidetracked by private conversations.
  • Ask questions: Ask yourself questions about the content or have someone else quiz you. This will help you realise if there is anything you have not yet understood or cannot yet remember.
