Mathematics Bridge Course

The Mathematics Bridge Course is an online offer to repeat and consolidate the school material at the start of your studies.

  • Who it's for: First-year students in international Bachelor's programmes
  • Format: Online (mix of synchronous and asynchronous activities)
  • Language: English
  • Period: Mid-September through late October
  • Cost: Free

Note: The Mathematics Bridge Course does not count as a Bridge Module, no ECTS credit points can be obtained!

Detailed information about dates and course times will be available approximately from the beginning of August.

Course format

The course consists of synchronous lecture and exercise sessions as well as asynchronous learning opportunities in the moodle course.

The synchronous sessions take place as video conferences. After every lecture you can practise with interactive exercises at your own pace. Right before the next lecture there will be an exercise session where the exercises will be discussed in depth.

Curriculum

In the lectures, we will review, among other things, the following topics:

  • Real numbers, fractions, logarithms
  • Equalities and inequalities
  • Systems of linear equations
  • Proportionality and percentage calculation
  • Functions (properties, power functions, linear and quadratic functions, exponential and logarithmic functions)

The sessions are largely independent of each other, therefore, it is possible to skip sessions.
