RISE: Scholarships in the GründerinnenRISE program
Start-up consultingConcerns/Category:
The Regional Institute for Start-ups & Entrepreneurship (RISE) and Campus Kemnath are offering women interested in starting their own business a new support program consisting of coaching, mentoring, and access to a nationwide network. The best applications will even receive a three-month scholarship.
When? The application period runs from March 1 to March 31, 2026.
Where? Applications can be submitted on the GründerinnenRISE website.
Who? The program is open to women with ties to the university who are interested in starting a business or have an affinity for entrepreneurship.
At the heart of the program is the GründerinnenCOACHING (Female Founders COACHING) module, which consists of the LAB, KNOW-HOW, and PERSONALITY modules. In the LAB module, participants develop their business ideas, try out creative methods, and receive valuable feedback. KNOW-HOW imparts the necessary expertise in business models, marketing, sales, financing, and legal basics, while the PERSONALITY module focuses on the personal side of entrepreneurship.
The COACHING is accompanied by a mentoring program that brings participants together with experienced female entrepreneurs. The tandems are individually matched to ensure trusting support for personal and professional development. In addition, the GründerinnenTALK (also known as “Ich bin gerne Chefin!” or “I like being the boss!”) takes place regularly; an evening with exciting ideas and plenty of opportunity for personal exchange and networking.
At the end of the program in spring 2027, participants will present their projects at the GründerinnenPITCH-NIGHT. In front of an audience from the worlds of business, science, and start-up support, they will be given a stage for their ideas, along with the chance to win the GründerinnenAWARD.

Impairment of exam participation due to strikes on Monday, February 2, 2026
Concerns/Category:
- All courses
Dear Students,
warning strikes in local public transport have been announced for Monday, February 2, 2026, but no further details have been provided. If you are affected by this, the following key points apply:
1. All examinations will take place as scheduled according to the examination schedule.
2. Students who do not attend the exam due to the strike (force majeure) will not be disadvantaged (no exam attempt, no effect of deadlines). However, affected students must submit an application with proof to the Examination Office.
3. For students who arrive late due to the strike (force majeure), it is up to the examiners to decide on a case-by-case basis. It may be possible for them to take the exam during the remaining exam time. Under certain circumstances, the exam time can also be adjusted for the students affected, provided that this does not cause any further implications (room occupancy, disruption of the exam, etc.). Or, in the case of exams with two consecutive time slots, participation in the later group may be considered, for example.
4. There is no entitlement to an alternative date.
