RISE: 7th Bavarian-Czech Innovation Day

This year marks the 7th edition of the Bavarian-Czech Innovation Day, held under the motto “Two Regions. One Future.”
The event focuses on visionary ideas and forward-looking collaboration between Bavaria and the Czech Republic. In addition to inspiring keynote speeches, participants will have the opportunity to present their own startups in a 5-minute pitch and win prizes. The Innovation Day will be interpreted into German and Czech.
When? Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where? TechTower Pilsen (Koterovská 2827/152, 326 00 Plzeň 2-Slovany)
Who? Anyone interested in Bavarian-Czech cooperation or involved in related projects.
Innovation Day is a gathering for decision-makers from the business community and representatives from academia, offering a platform to exchange professional insights on current topics, make new contacts, and forge partnerships. The goal is to work with leading figures from business, academia, and politics to set the course for a sustainable and thriving economy in the shared region.
Highlights include several keynote speeches by Bavarian and Czech experts. For example, Jan Siebert (founder and CEO, tomorrow web GmbH) and Marco Schmid (CEO | schmid und kreative, brand and cultural developer). Or Martin Jiránek (Chairman of the Czech Startup Association, Startup Representative at the Ministry of Industry and Trade) and Jan Kavalírek (AI Representative for the Industry and Transport Association, CEE AI Ambassador).
There is still a waiting list for the pitch competition: The competition offers the chance to present your startup in a 5-minute pitch to leading experts and potential customers. In addition to networking opportunities and visibility, the prize includes a €750 gift certificate from the electronics retailer K+B and exclusive access to the Silicon Valley Program at Campus Kemnath.

RISE: Co-founders wanted for a health tech startup

Through the OTH Amberg-Weiden startup support program, we regularly receive inquiries from teams that are still looking for new members for their projects. We’re more than willing to share our network with these teams, as we’re doing today.
I am currently developing a digital solution for psychiatric clinics and psychosocial facilities.
At this point, I have a detailed concept, a business plan, a pitch deck, and a clickable demo prototype. There is no finished software, customers, or pilot clinics yet.
To build out the project, I am looking for co-founders or dedicated project partners in the following areas:
- Software development, IT security & data protection
- Technical implementation of the software
- Development of the platform and features
- System architecture
- Data protection and data security

- Expertise in psychology/clinical practice
- Experience in psychiatry, psychology, social work, or nursing

RISE: Looking for a team member to help start a business

Through the OTH Amberg-Weiden startup support program, we regularly receive inquiries from teams that are still looking for new members for their projects. We’re more than willing to share our network with these teams, as we’re doing today.
As part of my doctoral research, I’m developing an innovative measurement system for industrial applications. The technical foundation is in place, and initial development work is underway. The goal now is to turn this into a fundable startup project that includes intellectual property rights/patents, product development, market entry, pilot customers, and commercialization.
WHO I’M LOOKING FOR
A motivated individual with an interest in business administration, business, management, or entrepreneurship who is eager to help build the economic and organizational aspects of a real startup venture. I’ll handle the technical development and scientific foundation. Flexible start: You can join the project in a variety of ways—for example, through a bachelor’s or master’s thesis, a project, or direct involvement in the startup venture.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
