    In two weeks, OTH Amberg-Weiden will host the highlight of the year in the fields of startup, innovation, and entrepreneurship: Inspiration & Startup Night. This time, the event will feature three inspiring keynote speeches by startups from Nuremberg, London, Weiden, and Delaware (USA).

    When? Monday, November 16, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    Where? Weiden Lecture Hall Building

    Who? Anyone interested in startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship

    Following a brief introduction, the Inspiration & Startup Night will kick off with three keynote speeches (in German):

    • Tobias Bäumler (COO and co-founder of VITAS GmbH): “Plan B Was Never Planned—Starting a Business Amid Crisis, Hype, and a Fresh Start”
    • Alex Netsch (Member of Technical Staff at Balance AI): “Claude vs. Startups: How to Die, Survive, and Win”
    • Markus Kett (Founder & CEO of Cyrock.AI Inc.): “Startup—Are You Crazy Enough to Succeed? With Cyrock.AI, Through 10 Years of Startup Hell to an AI Money-Printing Machine”

    Then it’s your turn: After a short break with refreshments, you’ll have the opportunity to propose your own topics in two rounds of Barcamp, exchange ideas in small groups, and learn from one another. Whether it’s a business idea, a startup pitch, a tech discussion, or a personal experience—Inspiration & Startup Night thrives on participation and offers a space for your creative ideas and new perspectives.

  • RISE: Amberg Startup Week

    This November, our partner, the Amberg Economic Development Agency, is offering several free workshops and consulting sessions for startups in the region as part of Amberg Startup Week.

    You’ll work with industry professionals, including those from OTH Amberg-Weiden, to take your startup ideas to the next level.

    When? Monday, November 16, 2026, through Friday, November 20, 2026

    Where? Stadtlabor+ Amberg (Bahnhofstraße 10–12, 92224 Amberg)

    Who? Local entrepreneurs and those interested in starting a business

    The Amberg Startup Week program includes various workshops and consultations that you can book individually. Depending on what you need for your startup projects.

    • Monday, November 16, 2026, 5:00–6:30 p.m.: Business Plan Course (Tina Schmid, VR-Bank Amberg)
    • Tuesday, November 17, 2026, 10 a.m.–6:30 p.m.: Free 30-minute initial consultation on logo design, corporate design/branding, web design, and social media (leXpro media)
    • Wednesday, November 18, 2026, 10 a.m.–7:30 p.m.: Free 60-minute consultation on the first steps toward starting a business (Stefanie Hoffmann, Regensburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Upper Palatinate/Kelheim & Alexander Seitz, Amberg Economic Development Agency)
    • Thursday, November 19, 2026, 4:00–5:00 p.m.: How to Pitch (Dr. Bastian Vergnon, RISE OTH Amberg-Weiden)
    • Friday, November 20, 2026, 10:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: Lego Serious Workshop (Maria Pusoma, OTH Amberg-Weiden)

    The highlight of Startup Week is the anniversary Connect+ panel discussion on Thursday, November 19, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m., where Florian Kiener, co-founder of happybrush, will talk about his journey “From the Upper Palatinate to store shelves across Germany.”

  • RISE: 1. Kemnath Startup Night

    In November, the Kemnath Startup Night will make its premiere. With this new event format, our Kemnath Campus is creating a platform for innovation, entrepreneurship, and forward-thinking ideas.

    When? Friday, November 27, 2026, 6:00–9:00 p.m.

    Where? Kemnath Campus (Schulplatz 4, 95478 Kemnath)

    Who? Anyone interested in startups, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

    At Startup Night, you can look forward to keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Stefan Uebelacker (OTH Amberg-Weiden) and Prof. Dr. Thomas Meenken (TH Deggendorf), as well as exciting insights into innovative business models through startup pitches by Cerebra Laboratories AG and in.shave GmbH.

    A special highlight of the evening will be the first-round pitches for the GründerinnenAWARD, which offers prize money for first through third place. In 2026, the participating female founders received intensive support in further developing their business ideas through the “GründerinnenRISE” support program at the Kemnath campus.
