Noticeboard: Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship Master
RISE: GründerWerkstatt #3 on Marketing & Sales
Start-up consultingConcerns/Category:
The GründerWerkstatt is a new format designed to help participants reflect on their own ideas and develop them further through interaction with others interested in starting a business.
As such, this workshop series, organized by the Regional Institute for Start-ups and Entrepreneurship and Campus Kemnath, is aimed at people with varying levels of prior knowledge and a wide range of ideas. The third session will focus on the topics of “Marketing & Sales.”
When? Thursday, July 9, 2026, 3:30–6:45 p.m.
Where? Coworking Kemnath (Röntgenstraße 14, 95478 Kemnath)
Who? The GründerWerkstatt is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone with a general interest in self-employment.
The GründerWerkstatt lasts about four hours per session and combines a roughly one-hour expert presentation with a self-organized, collaborative coworking phase during which participants can continue developing their ideas with the support of experts. These experts do not act as traditional lecturers, but rather as facilitators. Exchange of ideas plays an essential role in this process.
With Sarah Segerer (sub.lab – strategist and owner of a marketing agency) and Julia Mahr (sabbalott. – coach and trainer for personal, team, and organizational development), two perspectives come together that complement each other perfectly. Together, they explore the topics of brand, culture, and corporate culture, demonstrating that it’s not just about visual identity and marketing strategy, but also about the structures, values, and behaviors behind the scenes.
Participation in the GründerWerkstatt is free of charge. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Further information from the start-up support:
- Also on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the event “I like being the boss” will take place at Coworking Kemnath. In a session titled “Two Female Entrepreneurs—A Coincidence! Why We Do Things Differently and Why That’s Exactly Why We Work Together,” Sarah Segerer and Julia Mahr will explain why different perspectives don’t divide us but can instead create a powerful foundation for collaboration. Registration is free and available at https://coworking-kemnath.de/events/chefin-juli/.
- You can apply for the Master’s program in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship until Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Graduates from all disciplines who wish to drive innovation in their own startup ventures can use this program to develop innovations and advance their own startup projects on the Campus Kemnath.
- For students, university employees, and alumni whose ideas are still in the early stages or who are generally interested in the topic of founding a company, we are once again offering a virtual initial consultation this week on Thursdays between 1 and 2 p.m. Simply visit this link.

Damage in Seminar Room 242 – A call for attention and responsibility
Concerns/Category:
Dear students,
It was with great shock and disbelief that we discovered the extensive damage in Seminar Room 242 on Thursday morning. Three tables have been destroyed; the room has been left in a state that has left us deeply concerned.
You will find some pictures of the tables in the attachement!
We have never before witnessed such a level of destruction and disrespect towards shared spaces at our university.
Even though the perpetrators are currently unknown, the consequences affect us all: damaged furniture, unsightly study and work spaces, broken equipment – and, in the worst case, restrictions on the free use of seminar and common rooms. Spaces such as lecture theatres, the library, the canteen or the Orange Lounge depend on being used responsibly and with trust.
We are talking here about our university. That is why we ask you: do not look the other way if you observe wilful damage, vandalism or disrespectful behaviour towards rooms and equipment. Please speak to us or the university management if you notice anything.
Of course, things can sometimes be damaged accidentally. That is annoying, but no big deal if it is dealt with openly. In such cases too, please do get in touch.
We are counting on your support. Let us work together to ensure that our university remains a place where we enjoy learning, working and coming together.
Kind regards
