  • UPDATE - Registration for SWP/WP modules, projects, and “Required Elective Modules in Content and Media Design” - Winter Semester 2026/2027

    Dear Students,

    the second week for registration in all (subject/program-specific) elective modules for the Bachelor’s programs in the EMI Faculty, the “Elective
    Modules in Content and Media Design” (MT program), and the project offerings for the EI, II, MI, and MT programs—as well as, for the first time,
    some project offerings for the IA, MKI, and MAI programs—has begun.

    To summarize the first week, the following modules unfortunately cannot be offered in the upcoming winter semester due to no or insufficient
    registrations:

    - Development and Design of a Race Car for Formula Student
    - GeoXR
    - Information Theory and Coding
    - Machine Learning in Robotics
    - Physical Computing
    - SAP Application Development for Logistics 4.0

    We therefore ask you to register for another module of your choice.

    Registration must be completed by May 17, 2026, at the latest. Registration at the start of the 2026/2027 winter semester is no longer possible!

  • EMI Faculty: Enrolment in F/SWP/WP-modules, projects and ‘compulsory elective modules in content and media design’ – Winter Semester 2026/2027

    The registration for all (subject- and program-specific) required-elective modules in the EMI Faculty’s Bachelor’s Degree Programs, the “Required-Elective Modules in Content and Media Design”
    (MT program), and the project offerings for the Bachelor`s Degree programs EI, II, MI, and MT, as well as, for the first time, some project offerings for the Master`s Degree Programs
    IA, MKI, and MAI, begins on Monday, May 4, 2026, 6:00 p.m.

    The first registration week is intended for initial registration in the elective modules.
    The second registration week offers the opportunity to change selections to those whose chosen elective module unfortunately cannot be offered due to insufficient enrollment.

    The registration must be completed by May 17, 2026, at the latest. A registration at the start of the 2026/2027 winter semester is no longer possible!

    The relevant F/SWP/WP module and project catalogs will be available on the website starting April 30, 2026.
    Any late project registrations are still expected by May 4, 2026.

    Cinerama ist das Studierendenkino der OTH Amberg-Weiden. Wir zeigen (fast) jeden Mittwoch im Semester Filme im Audimax und dazu gibt’s auch noch gratis Popcorn. Das das ganze läuft leider nicht von alleine.
    Auch dieses Semester suchen wir wieder neue motivierte Menschen für unser Team, um das Studikino am Laufen zu halten! 
    Deswegen komm gerne morgen (Mittwoch 29.04.) zu unserem Kennenlerntreffen vor dem Film ab 18:00 Uhr in der Coffee Lounge in EMI (1. Stock, Ostflügel Richtung Altstadt)

    Was erwartet dich?

    How can I register?
    You can enroll in the open course "Schulungen der Bibliothek / library training courses" via Moodle here: https://moodle.oth-aw.de/course/view.php?id=2619
    (Alternatively, you can find the course " Schulungen der Bibliothek / library training courses " through the general search in Moodle).
    Once you have enrolled in the course, you can simply click on the respective BBB links on the dates and attend.

    The dates are not suitable for you? No worries, all of our trainings will be recorded. You can watch the recording afterwards in our Moodle course. But we highly suggest attending our live sessions where you can ask us questions directly!

    Please request this confirmation by email to the Amberg Students´ Office at studienbuero-am@oth-aw.de : y ou will receive the confirmation of eligibility by email.

    In order to receive the confirmation of eligibility , you must have successfully completed the Basic course ‚AI introduction for students’.
    When applying for the confirmation , please send us the certificate you received upon successful completion of the foundation course in PDF format.

    Liebe Studierende,

    wegen der aktuell anstehenden Brandschutzsanierung EMI 3.OG im Westflügel Geb. G, ist es notwendig, für die Anlieferung der Baumaterialien und zur Durchführung der Baumaßnahme, den rot gekennzeichneten Parkplatz (siehe Anhang) ab dem 23.02.2026 bis auf Weiteres zu sperren.

    Die Zufahrt und das Abstellen von Fahrzeugen ist nur den Baufirmen und Baustellenfahrzeugen gestattet.
    Bitte beachten Sie diese Regelungen, wir geben den Parkplatz so bald als möglich wieder frei.
