  • Information from the Student Development Center: Counseling and Support Services

    Concerns/Category:

To help you get started with your studies, we’ve put together some useful information about who to contact and what support is available. We wish you every success in your studies and look forward to helping you along the way!

    Dear first-year students,

We wish you all a wonderful start to your studies here! To help you make sense of the wealth of information you’ll receive in the coming days and weeks, we’d like to send you some materials today. In addition, many of the advising services relevant to you will introduce themselves to you over the course of the semester in individual information sessions under the theme “A Smooth Start to Your First Semester.” You will receive the dates for these in the coming weeks.

One more note on our part: If your first semester isn’t going quite as smoothly as you’d hoped, it’s no big deal! However, you may receive an email or letter from us inviting you to a counseling session. This is, of course, entirely voluntary and should not be seen as scaremongering, but rather as an offer of help. Nevertheless, we strongly advise against putting off such a consultation for too long, as problems often get worse over time.

And of course, if you have any problems, feel free to come see us for a consultation even without a prior appointment!

All the best, and last but not least, have fun with your studies!

    Your Student Development Center
