Am Buß- und Bettag (18.11.2026) erwartet eure Kinder in Weiden ein abwechslungsreicher FAIR4Kids-Tag in Kooperation mit der Stadt Weiden. Das Angebot richtet sich an Kinder der 1.–6. Klasse. Für die OTH stehen 15 Plätze zur Verfügung. Optional ist eine Nachmittagsbetreuung im JUZ Weiden möglich.

As Vice President of the DLRG Bavarian Regional Association, Ms. Glaubitz is actively involved in an organization known as the world’s largest water rescue organization. She embodies the motto “Love Water—Save Lives!” and the guiding principle “We save lives! Every non-swimmer becomes a swimmer—every swimmer becomes a lifeguard!” In her talk, she highlights the importance of volunteer work as a cornerstone of our society, focusing in particular on the role of women.
Her presentation focuses on the question of what personal, professional, and social opportunities volunteering opens up. Andrea Glaubitz highlights the experiences, skills, and networks that can result from volunteering and how these positively impact personal development and social participation. Drawing on her own experiences from her many years of work with the DLRG, she aims to encourage people to take on responsibility, contribute their own potential, and inspire others to volunteer.

Kurze Auszeit gefällig? Entdeckt bei einem Rundgang die Klimaschutz- und Renaturierungsmaßnahmen auf unserem Campus.
Am 10. Oktober beginnt die bundesweite Woche der Seelischen Gesundheit unter dem Motto „Miteinander statt nebeneinander – für eine Gesellschaft, in der jede Psyche zählt“.
Passend dazu laden wir am Dienstag, 13. Oktober, zu einer „Grünen Pause“ auf dem Campus in Amberg ein.
Bei einem rund 45-minütigen Rundgang geben Frau Stone vom Staatlichen Bauamt Amberg-Sulzbach und Landschaftsarchitekt Blank aus Pfreimd Einblicke in die heuer umgesetzten Klimaschutz- und Renaturierungsmaßnahmen auf unserem Campus und erläutern die Hintergründe der Gestaltung.

Wo: vor der Mensa, Campus Amberg
Dauer: ca. 45 MinutenOrganisiert und ermöglicht wurde der Termin von Erwin Wittmann, Leiter Referat Technik und Umwelt an der OTH Amberg-Weiden.

Liebe Studierende,
Leistung. Stil. Gemeinschaft. – drei Begriffe, die für das Leitbild unserer Hochschule stehen und nun auch in einem dreiteiligen Kunstwerk sichtbar werden.
Am Dienstag, 6. Oktober 2026, um 12:00 Uhr möchten wir die drei Leinwände der Weidener Künstlerin Katharina Gürtler in unserer Mensa offiziell einweihen.
Nach der Begrüßung und Einordnung des Kunstwerks durch Prof. Dr. Clemens Bulitta, Präsident der OTH Amberg-Weiden, geben die Künstlerin Katharina Gürtler und Dr.Markus Lommer von der Hochschulseelsorge (die das Projekt initiiert und begleitet hat) Einblicke in die Entstehung und die künstlerische Idee. Anschließend wird Prof. Dr. Christiane Hellbach, Vizepräsidentin der OTH Amberg-Weiden, den Gedanken der Mensa als Ort der Begegnung und Gemeinschaft aufgreifen.

This Sunday, September 20, is the big day: To mark International University Sports Day (IDUS), the adh University Run is back for its seventh edition. So lace up your running shoes and head out into the—hopefully beautiful—fall weather!
On September 20th, we’ll be celebrating the International Day of University Sports (IDUS). Join us and represent your university in the digital and free adh University Run.
How is it going?
Whether you‘re a student, staff member, or alumna or alumnus of an adh member university, whether you run, walk, or just take a stroll—lace up your running shoes! Every kilometer counts.
On September 20th, you’ll have exactly 60 minutes to cover as many kilometers and meters of altitude as possible.
Track your results using a smartwatch or running app, take a photo of them, and submit them online. Every step counts — both for your personal fitness and for the
glory of your university.
Are there any prizes?
Attractive prizes await the runners who cover the greatest distance or the most elevation gain within an hour.
In addition, the top universities will be honored.

Join Team OTH Amberg-Weiden for two sporting events that take place this september: Whether you like running, walking or cycling - Make the most of the semester break to get some exercise!
Dear students,
It’s the semester break, and the weather is still lovely – what could be better than going on a few bike rides? If you enjoy cycling, you can now take part in the ‘Stadtradeln’ campaign in Weiden. The campaign has been running since 24 August 2026, but you can still log rides from that date onwards.
Here’s how it works:
Registration:

2. Log in or register
3. Select the municipality “Weiden”
3. Join the “OTH Weiden” teamAnyone who lives, works, studies or is active in a club in Weiden is eligible to take part.
Journeys & kilometres:
✅ Every kilometre cycled up to 13 September 2026 counts
✅ Recording: via the STADTRADELN app or the online logbook (deadline for adding entries: 20 September 2026)
❌ (Cycling) competitions and rides on stationary bikes (e.g. spinning bikes) are excluded!
Means of transport:
✅ Bicycles, pedelecs (e-bikes), wheelchairs, hand bikes, foot bikes and similar mobility aids
❌ Not permitted: S-pedelecs, e-scooters, kick scooters, skateboards and unicyclesIn addition, the annual adh University Run will take place again on 20 September 2026. You can run, walk, hike or simply go for a stroll with others, or on your own. Together, we’ll clock up kilometres and represent our university across Germany.
