Reminder: adh University Run on September 20

This Sunday, September 20, is the big day: To mark International University Sports Day (IDUS), the adh University Run is back for its seventh edition. So lace up your running shoes and head out into the—hopefully beautiful—fall weather!
On September 20th, we’ll be celebrating the International Day of University Sports (IDUS). Join us and represent your university in the digital and free adh University Run.
How is it going?
Whether you‘re a student, staff member, or alumna or alumnus of an adh member university, whether you run, walk, or just take a stroll—lace up your running shoes! Every kilometer counts.
On September 20th, you’ll have exactly 60 minutes to cover as many kilometers and meters of altitude as possible.
Track your results using a smartwatch or running app, take a photo of them, and submit them online. Every step counts — both for your personal fitness and for the
glory of your university.
Are there any prizes?
Attractive prizes await the runners who cover the greatest distance or the most elevation gain within an hour.
In addition, the top universities will be honored.

🎟️ Important: Tickets for the Opening Party will be available for presale from October 12–14 at the Mensa — make sure to get yours!

Sporting events in September: the adh University Run and "Stadtradeln" (City Cycling)

Join Team OTH Amberg-Weiden for two sporting events that take place this september: Whether you like running, walking or cycling - Make the most of the semester break to get some exercise!
Dear students,
It’s the semester break, and the weather is still lovely – what could be better than going on a few bike rides? If you enjoy cycling, you can now take part in the ‘Stadtradeln’ campaign in Weiden. The campaign has been running since 24 August 2026, but you can still log rides from that date onwards.
Here’s how it works:
Registration:
1. www.stadtradeln.de/weiden
2. Log in or register
3. Select the municipality “Weiden”
3. Join the “OTH Weiden” teamAnyone who lives, works, studies or is active in a club in Weiden is eligible to take part.
Journeys & kilometres:
✅ Every kilometre cycled up to 13 September 2026 counts
✅ Recording: via the STADTRADELN app or the online logbook (deadline for adding entries: 20 September 2026)
❌ (Cycling) competitions and rides on stationary bikes (e.g. spinning bikes) are excluded!
Means of transport:
✅ Bicycles, pedelecs (e-bikes), wheelchairs, hand bikes, foot bikes and similar mobility aids
❌ Not permitted: S-pedelecs, e-scooters, kick scooters, skateboards and unicyclesIn addition, the annual adh University Run will take place again on 20 September 2026. You can run, walk, hike or simply go for a stroll with others, or on your own. Together, we’ll clock up kilometres and represent our university across Germany.
