    Liebe Kommilitoninnen und Kommilitonen,
    Cinerama ist das Studierendenkino der OTH Amberg-Weiden. Wir zeigen (fast) jeden Mittwoch im Semester Filme im Audimax und dazu gibt’s auch noch gratis Popcorn. Das das ganze läuft leider nicht von alleine.
    Auch dieses Semester suchen wir wieder neue motivierte Menschen für unser Team, um das Studikino am Laufen zu halten! 
    Deswegen komm gerne morgen (Mittwoch 29.04.) zu unserem Kennenlerntreffen vor dem Film ab 18:00 Uhr in der Coffee Lounge in EMI (1. Stock, Ostflügel Richtung Altstadt)

    Was erwartet dich?
    Ein entspanntes Treffen, bei dem du unser Team kennenlernst, erfährst was wir machen und herausfindest, wie du dich einbringen kannst. Keine Verpflichtungen – komm einfach vorbei!

    How can I register?
    You can enroll in the open course "Schulungen der Bibliothek / library training courses" via Moodle here: https://moodle.oth-aw.de/course/view.php?id=2619
    (Alternatively, you can find the course " Schulungen der Bibliothek / library training courses " through the general search in Moodle).
    Once you have enrolled in the course, you can simply click on the respective BBB links on the dates and attend.

    The dates are not suitable for you? No worries, all of our trainings will be recorded. You can watch the recording afterwards in our Moodle course. But we highly suggest attending our live sessions where you can ask us questions directly!

    Dear students, 🎓

    We are looking for motivated and committed students to join the various committees of the student representation! 🔍

    Together, we help shape university policy, organize events, contribute to campus development, and manage PR for the student councils. Every student can get involved—whether in their faculty’s student council, the student convention, or the senate.
    Being part of these committees not only gives you insights behind the scenes of university life, but also allows you to make a real impact, build new connections, and gain valuable experience for your CV! 🏛️

    Dear Students,

    Please note that in order to register your final thesis (Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis), you will need a confirmation of eligibility from the Students´ Office.

    Please request this confirmation by email to the Amberg Students´ Office at studienbuero-am@oth-aw.de : y ou will receive the confirmation of eligibility by email.

    In order to receive the confirmation of eligibility , you must have successfully completed the Basic course ‚AI introduction for students’.
    When applying for the confirmation , please send us the certificate you received upon successful completion of the foundation course in PDF format.

  • Sperrung Schotter-Parkplatz hinter EMI Geb. G ab 23.02.26

    Liebe Studierende,

    wegen der aktuell anstehenden Brandschutzsanierung EMI 3.OG im Westflügel Geb. G, ist es notwendig, für die Anlieferung der Baumaterialien und zur Durchführung der Baumaßnahme, den rot gekennzeichneten Parkplatz (siehe Anhang) ab dem 23.02.2026 bis auf Weiteres zu sperren.

    Die Zufahrt und das Abstellen von Fahrzeugen ist nur den Baufirmen und Baustellenfahrzeugen gestattet.
    Bitte beachten Sie diese Regelungen, wir geben den Parkplatz so bald als möglich wieder frei.

  • Impairment of exam participation due to strikes on Monday, February 2, 2026

    Dear Students,

    warning strikes in local public transport have been announced for Monday, February 2, 2026, but no further details have been provided. If you are affected by this, the following key points apply:

    1. All examinations will take place as scheduled according to the examination schedule.

    2. Students who do not attend the exam due to the strike (force majeure) will not be disadvantaged (no exam attempt, no effect of deadlines). However, affected students must submit an application with proof to the Examination Office.

    3. For students who arrive late due to the strike (force majeure), it is up to the examiners to decide on a case-by-case basis. It may be possible for them to take the exam during the remaining exam time. Under certain circumstances, the exam time can also be adjusted for the students affected, provided that this does not cause any further implications (room occupancy, disruption of the exam, etc.). Or, in the case of exams with two consecutive time slots, participation in the later group may be considered, for example. 

    4. There is no entitlement to an alternative date.
