Dear Students,
this month, mein colleague Ms Lea-Tara Schmidt will be offering a workshop for international students as part of a service learning program. The workshop is designed to prepare international students for a job interview in Germany and lasts approximately 2.5 hours. She is offering several dates so that everyone can participate.
The workshop includes:
•Vocabulary and useful phrases to master your interviews in Germany
•Exercises and reflection to enhance your communication skills
•CV check to optimize your application documents

The Course Catalogue is now divided into two parts.
The structure of the Course Catalogue has been changed from the summer semester 2025. The Course Catalogue is now divided into two parts. There is one document for your respective degree programme (Course Catalogue[name of degree programme]) and another, general document (Modulverzeichnis WEBIS) in which all modules are listed in detail. The modules are all given an individual ID, which makes it easier for you to find the relevant module in the module directory (Modulverzeichnis WEBIS).
You can find the Course Catalogue and the module directory as usual on our homepage under the respective degree programme page:

New procedure for WEBIS - Application for crediting of competencis via a form online
Dear Students,
there is a new procedure in the WEBIS faculty for applications for the crediting of competences in relation to study and examination achievements.
The previous application process using a paper form and e-mail has been changed. The application can now only be submitted directly via a form online.

A 1.1 German course at vhs Weiden-Neustadt - Start 20.03.2025

We are happy to announce a special offer for IB students, who do not have any knowledge of German and are hence not able to complete their immatriculation with proof of A2 yet.
In case that you are already on campus in Weiden mid- March please take a look at the followong offer!
There is only a limited number of places. So first come, first serve.
- A 1.1 German course at the the vhs Weiden-Neustadt (Luitpoldstraße 24, Weiden) and begins on 20.03.2025.
- course times are Thursdays 16:30 - 19:45 h at vhs Weiden (presence only, please check you study time tabel first before you register https://www.oth-aw.de/files/oth-aw/Studiengaenge/Bachelor/IB/Dokumente/IB_Stundenplan_SS25.pdf -course time cannot be changed)
- registration will be available on 6 March, 9:00 h and takes place externally at the vhs via the link provided in this email below
- a registration fee of 100,- € along with a minimum 75% attendence is required. This registration fee will be reimbursed to those who fullfilled the attendence requirement
- please do not register if you are unable to attend the first lecture and on time, no latecomers will be admitted.
- please note that this is a supportive offer and that this course cannot be accredited, nor is it worth any credits and please note that you still need to complete your immatriculation by handing in proof of A2 knowledge
