    Liebe Studis,

    wir möchten euch noch einmal daran erinnern, dass das Semesterticket mit dem Ende des letzten Semesters am 30.09.2024 ausgelaufen ist.

    Seit Semesterbeginn benötigt ihr im ÖPNV also wieder einen regulären Fahrschein. Der Studierendenausweis stellt demnach keinen gültigen Fahrschein mehr dar und ihr fahrt ohne gültigen Fahrschein schwarz! Dabei müsstet ihr mit der erhöhten Beförderungspauschale von 60€ rechnen. Auch das vergünstigte Deutschlandticket kostet euch nun monatlich den Vollpreis von 29€, welches ihr ausschließlich über die Netinera App kaufen könnt.

    Attached, you will find an initial guide in both German and English on how to purchase your discounted Germany Ticket through the NETINERA Tickets App.

    From Oktober 1, 2024 a renewed Shibboleth verification is required to purchase the Germany ticket for Oktober.

  • Timetables for the winter semester 2024/2025 - Moodle course registration

    Dear students,

    The timetables for the winter semester 2024/2025 are online.
    Please note that there may still be some changes.

    You can register for your Moodle courses from Sunday, 01.09.2024, 07:00. Please only enrol in courses that you will be able to attend in the coming semester so as not to take any places away from other students.

    First-semester students can also enrol in Moodle courses after the start of lectures. You will receive further information at the first semester welcome on 1 October 2024.

    If you are no longer able to register for a course that you need to attend, please contact the relevant lecturer directly.

  • 24h-library in Weiden: Please do not push the revolving door!

    Unfortunately, the revolving door of the 24-hour library has often been used incorrectly recently, preventing students from entering the library.

    We therefore expressly ask you to follow our rules:

    Use your own student ID card to activate the revolving door!

    Go through the revolving door alone and individually!
    Take your time! The door takes a few seconds to move.

    Do not push the revolving door any further by force!!! It rotates completely automatically.

    We can only continue to offer the 24-hour library if all students follow these rules.

    If the revolving door is entered by several people at the same time or if people without access force their way in, the technology will break down.
    If this happens again in the near future, we will have to close the 24-hour library permanently.

    Please follow the rules so that the 24h library can be used by everyone.


    How do you recognize that you have access to the revolving door? The card reader lights up blue at the edge.
    If you do not have access, the card reader lights up red.

    All students can gain access by attending a one-time training course at the library. The revolving door is also explained in this course.
    We will continue to offer appointments for this, so please contact us at the counter or by email at bibwen@oth-aw.de if you need it!

    Notes on the use of the Deutschlandticket

    Dear Students,

    Please note that from 01.10.2024 a new verification via Shibboleth is necessary to purchase a discounted Deutschlandticket in the Netinera app.

    The Student Union of the OTH Amberg-Weiden has decided not to extend the semester ticket any further. Therefore, the price for a discounted Deutschlandticket will be 29.00 euros per month from the winter semester 2024/2025. Please note that no refunds will be made if you have forgotten the Shibboleth verification!

  • Moodle App has limited functions - Please use OTH App / Moodle App hat eingeschränkte Funktionen - Bitte OTH App benutzen

    Dear students,

    We would like to inform you that some functions in the Moodle App (provider: Moodle Pty Ltd) are not supported. This concerns, among other things, plug-ins for exams, evaluation etc. We therefore ask you to stop using the Moodle app in the future and to access Moodle via the OTH app. You can access your OTH Moodle account and many other helpful functions directly via the menu in the app. Please note this in future and install the OTH app on your smartphone or tablet. Alternatively, you can access the services of OTH Amberg-Weiden at any time via our website. PCs are also available in the IT rooms if you do not have your own laptop.

    wir möchten Sie darauf hinwesen, dass einige Funktionen in der Moodle App (Anbieter: Moodle Pty Ltd) nicht unterstützt werden. Das betrifft u.a. Plug-ins für Prüfungen, Evaluation etc. Wir bitten Sie daher, die Moodle App künftig nicht mehr zu nutzen und über die OTH App auf Moodle zuzugreifen. Sie gelangen über das Menü in der App direkt zu Ihrem OTH Moodle Account und vielen anderen hilfreichen Funktionen. Bitte beachten Sie dies in Zukunft und installieren Sie die OTH App auf Ihrem Smartphone oder Tablet. Alternativ können Sie die Services der OTH Amberg-Weiden jederzeit über unsere Website erreichen. In den EDV-Räumen stehen Ihnen auch PCs zur Verfügung, falls Sie keinen eigenen Laptop haben.
