Dear Students,
there is a new procedure in the WEBIS faculty for applications for the crediting of competences in relation to study and examination achievements.
The previous application process using a paper form and e-mail has been changed. The application can now only be submitted directly via a form online.

As before, applications can be submitted from 15 March to 15 April and from 1 October to 31 October.
Please enter your details online and upload the necessary documents. Please do not send an e-mail to the person previously responsible: it is no longer necessary and such emails will not be processed.
O/HUB: "Honours Degree" in Entrepreneurship

Our partner in the Start-up HUB, the University of Passau, is offering the “Honors Degree in Entrepreneurship” in the summer semester.
In this intensive, seven-month program consisting of block seminars, you will work in teams at the University of Passau to develop and validate your business models and prototypes. You will be supported and advised by an interdisciplinary team of experienced practitioners and lecturers. Upon successful completion of the program in November, you will receive a 10 ECTS certificate.
When? 24.04./25.04. the program starts with the Focus Days

Sie können sich ab Montag, 10.03.205, 07:00 Uhr in Ihre Moodle Kurse einschreiben. Bitte schreiben Sie sich nur in Kurse ein, die Sie im kommenden Semester auch belegen müssen, um anderen Studierenden keinen Platz wegzunehmen. Dozierenden ist es vorbehalten, Sie ggf. aus ihren Kursen zu entfernen.
Sollten Sie sich zu einem Kurs, den Sie belegen müssen, nicht mehr anmelden können, wenden Sie sich bitte direkt an die entsprechenden Dozierenden.

Developer for innovative AI platform - Remote
Become part of the founding team: We are looking for a talented Master's student in computer science or a related field who wants to combine his/her passion for technology with entrepreneurial thinking. As part of our team, you will support the technical implementation of our Minimal Viable Product (MVP) of our platform, an AI-based solution that connects talents and clients from the film industry and creator economy.
Your tasks:
- Creation of a detailed system design, implementation of the backend and frontend components.
- Development and training of machine learning models for talent matching and recommendation.
- Preparation and analysis of large amounts of data
- Design of an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
- Deploying the platform in a cloud environment
Your profile:
- Advanced degree in computer science, AI or a comparable course of study (ideally already completed Bachelor's degree)
- Passion for innovative technologies and a dynamic working environment
- Experience in machine learning, AI and data science
- Good knowledge of Python and AWS
- Strong communication skills and team spirit
- Good knowledge of German and English

Preparation for Moodle exams
Dear students,
if you are taking exams in an IT lab, especially Moodle exams, then make sure in advance that you know all the access data, i.e. lab computer and Moodle login. If you are unsure, test the access beforehand and report any problems to Mr. Fikus. If you only notice a problem with your access at the start of the exam, you are no longer entitled to support. In order not to affect the other exam participants, you must leave the room immediately. The exam will be graded as "failed."

Dear Students,
Re-registration for the summer semester 2025 is possible from Thursday, 16th January 2025 up to and including Monday, 24 February 2025.
The Studierendenwerk Oberfranken for OTH Amberg-Weiden is increasing the semester fee to 87.00 euros per semester for the summer semester 2025.
Please note this when re-registering for the summer semester 2025.

Möchtest du dich mit anderen Stipendiatinnen und Stipendiaten vernetzen und Erfahrungen austauschen? Oder willst du andere Studierende, die sich für ein Stipendium bewerben, von deiner Erfahrung profitieren lassen? Dann melde dich bei uns!
Liebe Studierende,
im Rahmen des neu gegründeten Student Development Centers möchten wir auch die Stipendienberatung und -information neu aufstellen. Daher wollen wir ein Netzwerk gründen, in dem sich Stipendiatinnen und Stipendiaten aller Förderwerke einbringen können: das TalentWerk OTH+. Egal, ob zum Erfahrungsaustausch, zum Kennenlernen neuer Leute oder auch zur Unterstützung jüngerer Studierender und StudienanfängerInnen, die sich für ein Stipendium interessieren - wir möchten Leute an der OTH Amberg-Weiden zusammenbringen, denen diese Thematik am Herzen liegt.
