Are you interested in medicine? Would you like to work in a newly created and promising professional field, support doctors and do good for people? Then choose the Physician Assistance degree program.

This bachelor's degree program prepares students for a completely newly created profession in the healthcare sector, which has already been recognized by the German Medical Association and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. Physician assistants work hand in hand with physicians and support them in their tasks. They relieve physicians and make a decisive contribution to improving patient care. This makes the program a viable alternative for young people who are interested in studying medicine but are unable to gain a place because of the admission requirements.

Not least due to increasing life expectancy, the importance of medical care and health and nursing care continues to grow. The associated demand for corresponding specialists offers secure and interesting career prospects.

The degree program at OTH Amberg-Weiden is the first at a state university in Germany for which no previous training in the healthcare sector is an entry requirement. There are also no tuition fees.
