Course content of the International Energy Engineering degree programme

The Master's programme "International Energy Engineering" covers the following topics:

• Concepts of Combined Heat, Power and Cooling

• Energy Management with AI-Methods

The program comprises three semesters. This is designed for students entering the program with a Bachelor’s Degree with 210 ECTS credit points.

Students entering the program with a Bachelor’s Degree with 180 ECTS credit points have to obtain the difference of 30 ECTS credit points from the faculty's bachelor's program no later than the end of the 2nd semester. For this purpose the University offers special Bridge Modules within one „Bridge Semester“ (see below). For students who conduct this additional Bridge Semester - which is highly recommended even for students with a Bachelor’s Degree with 210 ECTS credit points – the study program comprises four semesters.

In the first and second (subject) semesters, there are many elective options in addition to a few compulsory modules, so that students can set individual focal points.

In the third semester, the master's thesis is due to be completed.

After successful completion, you start your professional life with the title "Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) International Energy Engineering".

* ECTS = European Credit Transfer System stands for the Credit Point System, which is valid in all member states of the European Union (EU)

* SWS = semester hours per week, 1 SWS corresponds to 45min per week
