Whether smart supply chains, automated warehouses or virtual purchasing platforms - business, technology and innovation come together in modern logistics. On the Logistics & Digitalisation degree course at OTH Amberg-Weiden, you will learn how to plan logistics processes efficiently, use digital systems cleverly and set up companies for the future.

You will deal with topics such as Supply Chain Management 4.0, eProcurement, Virtual and Augmented Reality or the Internet of Things - and develop specific strategies for purchasing, production, transport and distribution from digital trends. You will combine business thinking with technical expertise and actively shape the interface between the real and digital worlds.

In practical projects with companies, you will analyse real challenges, optimise processes and support the introduction of digital solutions. HIGHLIGHTS of the course

On the Logistics & Digitalisation degree programme at OTH Amberg-Weiden, you will develop smart solutions for real challenges along the entire value chain. You will design digital procurement and logistics processes, model supply chains, use modern tools such as SAP or IoT - and work on real projects with companies from industry and trade.

In the sixth semester, you will apply your expertise directly in the company during the practical semester. You will write your Bachelor's thesis with a practical orientation - with the best prospects for a career in logistics management, supply chain management or digital process optimisation.

Structure

On the Logistics & Digitalisation (B.Sc.) course, you will gain 210 ECTS credits in seven semesters - practical, interdisciplinary and future-oriented.

You start with the basics of business administration, economics, business statistics and accounting. In the higher semesters, you will deepen your knowledge in future-oriented topics such as digital logistics, supply chain management, innovative procurement & e-procurement, SAP application development for Logistics 4.0 and process data management.

You will also train your soft skills - e.g. in intercultural communication, negotiation or agile project management - and further develop your communication, analytical and organisational skills.

In the sixth semester, you will apply your knowledge directly in the company in an internship lasting at least 18 weeks. The seventh semester is dedicated to your Bachelor's thesis - ideally on a real-life issue from the field.
