Structure
In the Business Administration (B.A.) program at OTH Amberg-Weiden, you’ll earn 210 ECTS credits over seven semesters and gain everything you need to understand business contexts and make informed decisions in a corporate setting. You’ll take courses on the fundamentals of economics, such as finance and investment, business mathematics, statistics, and macroeconomics. Key areas such as marketing, law, controlling, and logistics are also on your schedule.
You’ll gain valuable practical experience through projects with companies, where you’ll work with your team to tackle real-world problems—and develop solutions that are actually implemented. Additionally, you’ll strengthen important personal skills in modules on communication, teamwork, and academic research.
Customize or specialize your profile:
Starting in the fourth semester, you’ll build your personal competency profile: You can either freely combine courses from a wide range of electives to become a generalist—or you can choose a specific competency profile to specialize.
Bonus: If you complete all the modules in a competency profile, you’ll receive an official certificate in addition to your bachelor’s degree—a strong asset for your resume and potential employers.
In the sixth semester, you’ll apply your knowledge directly in a company setting during an internship. And in the seventh semester, you’ll write your bachelor’s thesis—ideally on a specific real-world problem.
