The Master’s degree program in Trade and Corporate Law (LL.M.) prepares working professionals—especially lawyers who have passed the First or Second State Examination—for specialist and leadership roles in legal departments of industrial, commercial, and service companies.
This work-study program offers flexible study options combined with practice-oriented knowledge.
In cooperation with ARBER Seminare and AK Jura, you can directly integrate the specialist lawyer training course (Fachanwaltslehrgang) into the program. Alternatively, specialist lawyer courses you have already completed—whether with our partner institutions or other external providers—may be credited toward the degree.

Continuing education credits:
The independent publication of your master’s thesis in legal journals, edited volumes, or specialist books may, under certain circumstances, be credited toward mandatory continuing education requirements pursuant to Section 15 of the German Specialist Lawyers’ Regulations (FAO). The decision on recognition lies with the respective competent bar association.
Structure
The work-study Master’s program in Trade and Corporate Law (LL.M.) is designed for working professionals who have completed a university degree, particularly lawyers holding the First or Second State Examination.
The theoretical knowledge required for qualification as a Specialist Lawyer in Employment Law is fully integrated into the program, making attendance at an additional specialist lawyer training course unnecessary.
Those who have already completed a specialist lawyer training course in Trade and Corporate Law may have it recognized and credited toward the LL.M. program.
Tuition Fee
Tuition fee for the Trade and Corporate Law program is €3,350 per semester, plus the student services fee.
Access and admission requirements
To be admitted to the Master’s degree program in Trade and Corporate Law (LL.M.), you must provide proof of a completed university degree in a relevant field as well as relevant, qualified professional experience after completing your bachelor’s degree.
You can apply for a place in the program during the application period via the OTH Amberg-Weiden application portal.
The admission requirements are also set out in Section 5 of the program’s study and examination regulations.

In addition to the regular degree program, you can take certification courses at OTH Amberg-Weiden—for example Project Management or AI management.
