Mathematics at university

Mathematics is an indispensable tool in all technical as well as in most economic courses of study. This is because mathematical models serve both to describe and to justify numerous processes in science and technology.

The step from familiar school mathematics to university mathematics causes difficulties for many first-year students. This may be due to the greater precision, unfamiliar notation or a higher degree of abstraction. This makes it all the more important to have a secure knowledge of school mathematics in order to successfully manage the transition from school to university.

To support you in this transition, there are various offers at OTH Amberg-Weiden.
