Entrance requirements

General entrance qualification for admission to a university or technical college or a subject-related university entrance qualification. Admission is also possible via professional university access. Students have to serve a pre-study internship of at least six weeks in a relevant professional field prior to their studies or by the end of the second semester at the latest.

Instead of poring over dry theory in a lecture hall, at the OTH Amberg-Weiden you will gain invaluable practical experience, learn how to design a medical technology product using modern digital development methods, and even print out your design in the 3D printing lab

You will apply manufacturing processes for medical technology in a clean room and also have the opportunity to gain further qualification with a radiation protection course. Excursions will take you to a wide variety of areas in medical technology, from industrial production to hospital applications.
