HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DEGREE PROGRAMME
Instead of poring over dry theory in a lecture hall, at the OTH Amberg-Weiden you will gain invaluable practical experience, learn how to design a medical technology product using modern digital development methods, and even print out your design in the 3D printing lab.
You will apply manufacturing processes for medical technology in a clean room and also have the opportunity to gain further qualification with a radiation protection course. Excursions will take you to a wide variety of areas in medical technology, from industrial production to hospital applications.

STRUCTURE & DOCUMENTS
In the technical part of the degree programme, you will learn the basics such as mathematics or CAD, as well as advanced topics such as data science, automation or robotics. The management part of the programme focuses on business management skills in the industrial sector, such as business process management or marketing and sales. On the one hand, you will acquire interdisciplinary language skills, but also deal with overarching disciplines such as logistics or software development.
In the final stage of your studies, you can choose your own modules from a wide-ranging catalogue and thus determine your own specialisations.

WIGCares Programme
What is WIGCares?
WIGCares is a one-stop student support programme in the faculty of Industrial Engineering and Healthcare and aims to support all Year One students through counseling, guidance, preparatory courses, on boarding and mentoring. A fixed team of experienced students from all Bachelor programmes assist first and second semester students (and those interested in studying in a programme at the WIG faculty) with activities and support programmes like Rent-A-Student, Study-Buddies, informational events, study groups, intercultural activities and mentoring.
We aim to make the challenging transition from your country to our country and the jump from secondary school to university easier.
