    für das Sommersemester 2026 uneingeschränkt angeboten werden können und demzufolge stattfinden. Eine zwingende Umwahl Ihrerseits innerhalb des Wahlzeitraums
    bis Sonntag, den 30.11., ist somit nicht erforderlich.

    Liebe Studierende,

    in diesem Semester findet wieder eine Informationsveranstaltung zum Studiengang
    "Master of Applied Research in EngineeringSciences" (Forschungsmaster) statt.

    Ich lade alle Interessierten herzlich ein, an dieser Veranstaltung teilzunehmen.
    Vor allem richtet sich die Information an alle Studierenden, die demnächst ihr Bachelorstudium
    abschließen werden. 

    In diesem Rahmen werde ich den Studiengang und das Curriculum vorstellen, sowie über Besonderheiten,
    Projekte usw. informieren. Außerdem werden Kollegen bzw. Kolleginnen  mögliche Projekte aus Ihren Laboren präsentieren.

  • EMI Faculty: Enrolment in SWP/WP modules, projects and ‘elective modules in content and media design’ – summer semester 2026

    Dear students,

    the enrolment for all [programme-specific] elective modules in the Bachelor's programmes offered by the EMI Faculty, the ‘Elective Modules in Content and Media Design’ (MT programme) and the projects (EI, II, MI, MT, MP, EDU) as well as for all elective modules in the MAI Master's programme for the 2026 summer semester will begin on Monday, 17 November 2025, at 6 p.m.

    The first registration week is intended for initial registration for elective modules.
    The second registration week offers all students who have chosen an elective module that cannot be offered
    due to insufficient enrolment numbers the opportunity to change their selection.

    The enrolment must be completed by 30 November 2025 at the latest.
    An enrolment at the beginning of the 2026 summer semester is no longer possible!

    The corresponding SWP/WP module and project catalogues will be available on the homepage from 13 November 2025.

    on behalf of the VDE, we would like to invite you to the kick-off meeting for the founding of a university group on 19 November 2025
    at 3:15 p.m.in room MBUT 219.

    The VDE YOUNG NET university group is an association of students who want to make a difference together and network with other like-minded people. The first item on the agenda for next spring is a joint lecture event with VDE Bavaria, at which the OTH university group will also be presented. In addition, joint activities such as workshops and excursions to companies (e.g. Siemens, Scherdel, Nexans, etc.) are planned. The university group aims to network with other universities in Eastern Bavaria and carry out joint activities.

  • Application period for the BHS scholarship: November 3 to December 12, 2025

    Starting this week, it is once again possible to apply for the BHS scholarship. In addition to financial support, the scholarship includes a working student contract with BHS Corrugated and many other interesting opportunities.

    Dear students,

    Monday marked the start of the application period for the BHS scholarship, which is aimed in particular at students in your degree program who have already successfully completed one year of study.

    Due to the special nature of the scholarship, it is also compatible with the Germany Scholarship—if you are already a Germany Scholarship recipient, you can benefit from double funding in this case.

    In addition to financial support in the form of the scholarship, you will also have the opportunity to work as a working student at BHS (additional remuneration separate from the scholarship!) and complete your practical semester or thesis there. For further details, please refer to the announcement in the attachment.

  • Praxisseminar WiSe 25/26, MT - Prof. Müller

    Liebe Teilnehmende des Praxisseminars WiSe 25/26,

    am Dienstag, den 10.03.2026 und am Mittwoch, den 11.03.2026 findet das diesjährige Praxisseminar
    im Raum 313 oder 301 statt. Die Veranstaltungen beginnen an beiden Tagen jeweils um 9.00 Uhr.
    Die Veranstaltungen finden in Präsenz statt. Es genügt, wenn Sie nur an dem Tag anwesend sind,
    an dem Sie Ihren Vortrag halten. Der Vortrag sollte nicht länger als 8 Minuten sein.
    Der Vortrag kann gerne in Form einer Powerpoint-Präsentation oder mit Hilfe eines PDF gehalten werden.
    Die Begleitung des Vortrags durch Bild und Ton ist durchaus erwünscht.
    Es gilt zu bedenken, dass Sie an den beiden Tagen viele Vorträge anhören müssen.
    Deshalb sollte von den Referenten darauf geachtet werden, die Vorträge möglichst lebendig und ansprechend
    zu gestalten. Ich möchte Sie bitten, sich zeitnah im Moodle-Kurs Praxisseminar (PS) anzumelden.
    Am 31.01.2026 werde ich zwei Listen erstellen, für jeden Veranstaltungstag eine. 
    Diese Listen werde ich am 01.02.2026 an Sie verschicken    .
    Es ist nicht vorgesehen, dass Sie sich einen Tag aussuchen können.

    You have the opportunity to purchase a “Deutschlandticket” travel card at a reduced price (special price for Bavarian students) for £38.00 per month.

    For OTH Amberg-Weiden students, ordering the discounted Deutschlandticket is straightforward and can be done digitally via the transport company VAG. Please visit the following website: https://meinabo.vag.de/

    There, under the “Deutschlandtickets” tab, select “Ermäßigungsticket Studierende” (student discount ticket). On the website that opens, you can select the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden. Verification runs in the background, so you do not need to fill out a paper confirmation form from us.
